Rotor Genie database relaunch
A quad-builder that gets smarter every time the DB gets cleaner.
The site now treats Supabase as the scalable source of truth: normalized compatibility profiles power catalog filters, product pages, build checks, and eventually wiring + Betaflight output.
Public pages expose only user-safe normalized fields; internal QA and source audit data stays server-side.
DB is the product spine
Parts, normalized filter profiles, compatibility rows, and future store offers now flow from Supabase instead of static page data.
Compatibility before content
Public filters stay clean while internal QA tables let us grow aggressively without lying to builders.
Builder output, not browsing theater
The catalog feeds saved builds, fit checks, wiring graphs, Betaflight setup, and the future Grant Wish purchase packet.
DB-backed categories
Start with the data that exists, then expand the moat.
Does it have the pads, UARTs, firmware target, and stack mount your build needs?
What size/build style are you starting from?
Will the ESC handle the cell count and motor current without cooking itself?
Is the stator/KV/shaft/mount sane for this prop and battery?
Does cell count, connector, capacity, weight, and C-rating fit the build?
Does the diameter/pitch/blade count match the frame and motor plan?
Does the control link, voltage, telemetry, and wiring protocol match the FC?
Analog, DJI, Walksnail, or HDZero — and can the frame/FC wire it cleanly?
Does camera size and video ecosystem match the frame and VTX?
